Cathy Mueller

Principal

Hello! My name is Cathy Tooley, and I am the Principal at Porter Elementary. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Sam Houston State University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. My career in education started in 2003, and while I have varied experience, one thing remains the constant: kids are my business! I am proud to have chosen a career that creates daily opportunities to make an impact and work alongside such incredible children! Every day brings new joy, laughter, and the opportunity for growth. I look forward to serving the students, staff members, and our surrounding community in positive ways that will continue to build upon all of the success that has made Porter Elementary so special. I am excited about what lies ahead and ready to achieve even greater things. It's going to be a great year to be an Eagle!

Assistant Principal

My name is Graciela Canales, and I am honored to be a part of the Porter Elementary family! My first classroom was right here at Porter Elementary School as a third-grade teacher, and I couldn't stay away! I earned my B.S from the University of Houston and an M.Ed from the University of Texas RGV in Bilingual Education with a specialization in Dual Language. In the past eleven years, I've been privileged to serve the New Caney ISD community as a teacher, EL Coach, EL Specialist, and now as Assistant Principal. I am the proud wife to a wonderful husband, a momma to a beautiful little boy, and two fur babies. I am thrilled to work with our teachers, students, and parents to provide the best educational opportunities to our community!
