At the NCISD Board of Trustees meeting on October 20, 2025, students and staff members from Porter Elementary School were recognized for their outstanding service. 

Porter Elementary School Principal, Cathy Mueller, and the board of trustees recognize Geovanna Martinez (Outstanding Teacher), Faviola Luna (Outstanding Paraprofessional), Richard Minshew (Outstanding Custodian), Aurora Garcia (Outstanding Child Nutrition Employee), and Gustavo Gallegos (Outstanding Student).
